The English society was founded in 1984 and has since been involving students in wonderful English language activities. The English Society aims to improve students’ command of the English language while igniting and nurturing their interest in this wonderful language. We also aim to make students feel comfortable while speaking and embracing the language and have an understanding of western cultures.
Our society consists of executive committee members and consultant teachers. Besides that, we also strive to enhance students’ interest in English language through various games.
Annual club activities
English Week
One of our main activities include annual English Week, which is jammed with exhilarating activities and competitions. Activities during this week include many English related activities such as, quizzes, songs, workshops etc. Through these activities, students learn the English language in fun and interesting ways and hence improve students’ knowledge in English language. Besides that, these activities also spark students’ interest towards English language. Last year, due to the covid-19 pandemic, we could not hold large-scale events, so our annual English Week activities were changed to virtual mode.
